Before starting my own virtual assistant service business, Buying Time, I spent 22 years in the corporate world working for companies like North American Logistics and UPS Supply Chain. During my time with UPS as National Vendor Manager, I had the highest performing center, while being the youngest and only female manager amongst my peers.
I built a culture that created the largest percentage of promotions from my direct hires. And I also worked with all the centers to create over $2.7 million in annual payroll savings from efficiency and productivity analysis and single-handedly led the implementation of those improvements across all the US locations.
My experiences in the corporate arena, as well as my Infusionsoft and Six Sigma certifications, translate directly to helping entrepreneurs and small business owners understand the value of time management and setting up systems to do the work for them.
In addition to helping businesses with expert implementation and virtual administration jobs, I’m also a regular speaker and workshop facilitator. Through fun, informative sessions, I help business owners learn how to let go of all the day-to-day tasks that either don’t suit them or waste their time. They are suddenly free to work “on” their businesses, not “in” their businesses. Once they begin working this way, many experience significant growth in revenues as well as improved company morale.

Stephanie has been on the Buying Time team since 2017 and has been Operations Manager on the team since 2018. She is passionate about ensuring clients have an exceptional experience and focuses on efficiency in both Buying Time operations as well as within the support our team is providing our clients.
Born and raised in Southern California, Stephanie now lives in Texas with her husband. She enjoys watching good movies, reading good books, enjoying the great outdoors, travel, and, most importantly, couch cuddles with her dog, Hank.
Julz Whitson

Hi, I’m Julz! I’m based in sunny Southern California, but I proudly support clients across the country. As Buying Time’s Client Success Coordinator, I specialize in social media marketing and also lend my skills to email marketing, automation, web design, and graphics.
I’ve been part of the Buying Time team since 2016, helping clients grow their businesses with smart strategies and a whole lot of heart. Outside of work, I’m a proud mom to an amazing daughter and a surprisingly speedy tortoise. I’m also a big fan of gardening, cruising the high seas, and playing a competitive round of Mahjong.
Tech trends and new tools excite me—I love learning and using that knowledge to bring fresh ideas to our clients.
Candace Edwards
Candace Edwards is a passionate educator and lifelong lover of literature whose career has centered on inspiring others to appreciate the written word. A former high school and middle school English/Literature teacher, Candace taught a wide range of courses—including AP English, Shakespeare, and Creative Writing—crafting engaging, standards-aligned lessons that sparked curiosity and critical thinking.
Beyond the classroom, Candace has held multiple leadership roles in education-focused organizations. She served on the PTA board at John Adams Elementary for six years, including time as president, was Secretary of the TABB board for seven years, and currently serves on the J.H. Hull PTSA and as Recording Secretary for the TCPTA.
For the past year, Candace has worked as the Administrative Assistant at Buying Time, supporting CEO Bibi Goldstein and assisting the broader team with a variety of operational and organizational needs.
Raya Whitson
Hi, my name is Raya! I am a Southern California native who has been part of the Buying Time team since 2021. I support businesses across the country and enjoy working with clients from a wide range of industries.
I love working for this company because it allows me to learn more about many different businesses and the people who run them- that to me is the best part!
Melanie Murata
Melanie lives in Southern California with her husband and two children. After eight years in the insurance and finance industry, she joined Buying Time, LLC in 2025 as the lead bookkeeper. She is QuickBooks certified and continues to take courses to expand her skills and stay current in the field. She enjoys helping clients understand their financial position in business as well as taking the day-to-day bookkeeping transactions off their task-list. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family- either cheering on her son at the rink playing ice hockey, or watching her daughter perform in her high school marching band.
Katie Mooney
Hi, I’m Katie – and I love to eat cold pizza with extra pineapple.
I genuinely love turning chaos into something that makes sense. I live somewhere between color-coded spreadsheets and big “what if?” ideas. I’m equally happy designing something beautiful, organizing something messy, or cheering someone on from behind the scenes.
I’ve worn a lot of hats – entrepreneur, marketer, graphic designer, event-planner, bartender – and somehow they all fit. I love great branding, smart systems, neon signs, dogs (especially mine), and anything that lets me make people feel seen, supported, or excited about what they’re building. I love working to help others elevate their brand presence, streamline operations, and deliver measurable results. Helping others look like they already have it all together – even in the moments when they’re building momentum behind the scenes – is what I’m all about.
Outside of work, you’ll find me chasing around my son (he’s a wild one with a mullet), taking long walks with my pup, playing video games with my boyfriend, or picking up shifts as a substitute bartender. I’m big on celebrating even the smallest progress, authenticity, and creating a life that feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside. I’m caffeine fueled, have no poker face, love the 49ers, and my karaoke jam is Biz Markie’s “Just A Friend.”
